NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in terms of Section 21A of the Local Government: Municipal Systems
Act, No 32 of 2000, read with the conditions and criteria for the raising of loans for capital expenditure
in terms of Section 46 of the Municipal Finance Management Act, No.56 of 2003, that Brakpan Bus
Company(Pty)Ltd an entity of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality is anticipating to enter into a
loan agreement as provided for by the said act,

Information Statement in respect of proposed Long Term Debt

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality intends taking up an external loan amounting to R800 million to fund its 2009/2010 capital budget. The First R400 tranche of the proposed loan will be considered by Council on the 26th November 2009.

Information Statement in respect of proposed Long Term Debt

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality intends taking up an external loan amounting to R1.1 billion to fund its 2008/09 capital budget. This proposed loan will be considered by Council on the 30th April 2009.

Capital Loan Funding for an amount of R800 million was approved on 28th of May 2009 as part of the budget approva.
