Background Information:
The Museum Exhibitions are based on themes:
- STRIKES:
is displayed against the background of the history of gold mining on the East Rand. The first big strikes on the Reef of 1907, 1913 and 1922 are depicted in the display.
- BENONI AND ITS DIVERSE CULTURES:
Group and individuals who have contributed significantly to the history of Benoni can be viewed
- OLIVER TAMBO:
An exhibition of Greatness. The life and times of the Oliver Tambo and the contribution he made to the struggle in South African can be viewed together with items donated by Dr Adelaide Tambo.
- AFRICAN POTTERY, BEADWORK WEAVING AND WOOD CARVING:
Excellent traditional African pottery, colourful beadwork and collection of rare historical musical instruments
- ART COLLECTION:
Exhibitions of well known South African artists
- THE MAJ.GEN. NEIL WEBSTER COLLECTION:
Exhibition of military memorabilia and photographs
- THE 7 MEDIUM REGIMENT SAA COLLECTION:
Depicting the history of Benoni regiment, originally established during World War II
- HERB GARDEN:
