The Ekurhuleni Metro Municipality is situated in South Africa’s manufacturing heartland.  It is a vibrant, cosmopolitan and culturally diverse region with over 2,5 inhabitants.  The area has around 8 000 industries and is responsible for about 23 per cent of the gross geographical product of Gauteng Province.

Ekurhuleni meaning “the place of peace in Xitsonga” is an amalgamation of cities, townships and peri-urban areas poised to showcase an abundance of unique, untapped, diverse and unspoilt tourist products nestling in the Eastern part of the economic hub of South Africa, Gauteng.

Home to the OR Tambo International Airport - Africa’s biggest and busiest Airport.  It is a transport hub crisscrossed by busiest motorways as well as Gautrain – the country first high speed train that links the visitors to the rest of the province.

Ekurhuleni boast itself with well over 200 conference facilities, the evolution of Ekurhuleni’ geography, landscape and picturesque emanates from mining activities of the eighteenth century which left a variety of quaint historical sites, majestic wetlands, nature reserves, streams, pans, marshlands, lakes and dams to amuse any discerning traveller!
