Financial Reports
What are these reports?
In terms of legislation, as well as good governance, it is very important for the organization to produce and publish certain reports.
These report are crucial for all stakeholders in understanding the inner workings and performance of Ekurhuleni. These documents consist of an Annual Report, which coincides with the financial year of the organization (July – June), and is produced annually. The document gives an overview of all activities of the Council, and how funds were used within the community.
The Mid Term Report, is a document that is produced halfway through the political term (local elections are held every 5 years), and reports on the achievements of the Politicians, elect, for the first half of office. The full term Report is similar to the Mid Term Report, except that this report reviews the full 5 year achievements of the Political office.
The Budget report is made public every year , and is accompanied by critical and compulsory interaction with the community and all stakeholders before finalized. The budget document is also made available in a summarized version that is easier to understand, and explains how it would affect the averaged person’s pocket.

To report to Council on the mid-year review of the financial and performance results for the 2011/12 financial year as required by section 72 of the Municipal Finance Management Act.
Full Term Report ( 1 Files )
The full term Report is similar to the Mid Term Report, except that this report reviews the full 5 year achievements of the Political office.

Monthly budget performance ( 29 Files )
“Schedule C contains the monthly budget statement of the municipality, and it consists of the monthly reports as submitted to the municipal council and the National Treasury in terms of section 71(1) of the Municipal Financial Management Act, Act 56 of 2003.”
