Mayoral Committee

The Ekurhuleni region is divided into 101 wards. There are a total of 202 councillors, made up of the elected 101 ward councillors and 101 proportional councillors.

The Executive Mayor heads up a team of 13 full-time councillors who make up the Mayoral Committee of 10, a Speaker and a Chief Whip of Council.
