This councillor sports an engineering diploma, among others and has been a councillor since 2006, serving on the finance and legal and corporate portfolios. Politics came onto his agenda in 1976, having been a political activist since his student days. In 1999 he joined the IFP and was the provincial secretary of Gauteng and member the national council from 2007 to 2010. He sees his aim during this term of office as serving the community.
