In 1993 Clr Fortune Mahano joined the DP after being president of the SRC at Daveyton College of Education. His main aim in politics is to build strong opposition in South Africa. He has been a councillor in Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality since 2000 and served on the portfolios of finance, MPAC, rules, environment and public participation. The self employed councillor aims to better service delivery for the people of Ekurhuleni.
