The portfolios of sport, recreation, arts and culture and municipal public accounts are some of the committees that three time councillor Masontage Masanga has served on since May 2001. Her involved in political dates to 1989 as an Intando Yesizwe member in Gauteng, joining the ANC and ANC Women’s League in that same year. This councillor was an elected street committee and Sanco representative, serving the community for six years. She served on the rail commuters focus forum for five years and helped negotiate the reopening of Katlehong Kwesine line. She was also involved in SDUs operations and at school served on the governing body for two years. This PR councillor is prepared to serve the community of Ekurhuleni and is committed to improving the service delivery issues and challenges faced by the municipality as ‘together we can do more’.
