“I want to see young people having skills, being educated and to see them being leaders of tomorrow,” says Clr Ruth Shabalala, adding that she would like to see the youth in their projects encouraging others to fight crime and abstain from sex. This is what she would like to achieve in this term of office. Seeing Ekurhuleni being developed economically through the building of shops and malls, schools and libraries is something Clr Shabalala wants as well. Since 1979 she has been involved in politics and lists how and why as by motivating young women to stand up and do something , to get a skill and not depend on government and also to encourage them to learn more.
