Specific signs can only be allowed in specific areas. The land use of the relevant site and the surrounding land use of the area will determine if a sign can be erected on that site or not. This will then also determine the size, height and information that may be displayed on the sign.How long does it take to get permission?
This is dependant on the region in which you wish to advertise. Some regions are inundated with applications due to the nature of their location. An application can be processed within 3 months however, dependant on the region, this process can take as long as 1 year. The evaluation process involves site inspections, circulation for comments to numerous departments as well as serving at an evaluation committee.
