The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality wishes to bring to the attention of Kempton Park residents an error on the March 2011 to February 2012 refuse removal calendar.

Refuse removal days for February 9 and February 10 have both been colour coded yellow. According to the Metro’s spokesperson, Justice Mohale, this is a typing error and the colour for February 10 should be red.

“We wish to apologise for the inconvenience which may be caused by the typo. Those residing in areas categorised by red are advised to take their waste out for collection on Friday the 10th,” says Mohale.

Meanwhile, refuse calendars for the cycle beginning March 2012 are expected to be available towards the end of February at the Kempton Park Customer Care Area rates hall, the waste management services offices and www.ekurhuleni.gov.za. They will also be mailed along with the municipal account statements.
