Residents of Sonneveld in Brakpan are advised to take note of planned power supply interruptions scheduled to take place between February 27 and March 2.

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality is currently upgrading portions of the electricity network in the Sonneveld area to ensure the continuous reliability of power supply. The upgrade project will, however, necessitate power interruptions within the mentioned period. The interruptions will take place from 08h00 to 17h00 daily.

 “It is difficult to tell which portion of Sonneveld will be off at what time and on which day and as such we are informing the residents of the entire area to take note that they might be affected due to the project on any of the dates between February 27 and March 2,” explains, Justice Mohale, the spokesperson of Ekurhuleni.

Mohale encouraged residents to consider the power supply network to be ALIVE even during the period of interruptions of supply for their safety.

The Ekurhuleni Metro apologises for the inconvenience the interruption will cause and assures affected customers that this is aimed at sustainable power supply in the area.
