IT IS TIME FOR UMSIZI NOPENDE 2025 AWARD CEREMONY 

The stage is set for exceptional artworks to receive recognition during the Umsizi noPende Visual Art Project awards ceremony to be held on Saturday, 12 April 2025.

The city of Ekurhuleni in partnership with Isthuli-Sasengweni Arts and Craft Organisations will host the prestigious awards where the coveted prize of R20 000 is up for grabs to any of the 27 nominated finalists who submitted their work through digital entries – based on their artistry, skill and adherence to the requirements.

Entries came from various parts of Gauteng and as afield as Mpumalanga.

To add more excitement, this time around members of the public will be given an opportunity to cast a special vote to determine the winner of the 2025 public voter’s choice prize. The winning artwork in this category will walk away with prize money of R10 000.
