Slovo Park Clinic Temporarily Closed to Fix Roof

The City of Ekurhuleni wishes to inform residents in Springs and surrounding areas of the closure of Slovo Park Clinic effective 30 March 2020 due to repairs of a leaking roof that are currently underway.

Due to the extent of the damage to the roof, and to ensure the safety of patients and staff, the entire roof will be replaced. In the meantime, contingency plans are in place to attend to patients at nearby clinics.

Patients are advised to visit Bakerton Clinic that is 2km away from Slovo Park Clinic for the duration of the closure.

"Health practitioners will guide patients on controlled chronic medication when they collect their three-month supply of medication at Slovo Park Clinic between now and the period of closure. However, for those patients on chronic medication who default on collection of their medication, they will access the services at Bakerton Clinic when they come for collection," MMC for Health and Social Development Cllr Nomadlozi Nkosi said.

The MMC further stated that patients will continue to receive efficient services at Bakerton Clinic as there are consulting rooms for examination purposes and a dedicated pharmacy to serve patients coming from Slovo Park Clinic.

An additional mobile clinic will be stationed at Slovo Park Clinic to render service to the elderly patients and to attend to emergencies.

NB: Patients will be constantly informed of the progress of the repairs at Slovo Park Clinic.
