Narcotics Seized in Germiston, Wattville, Actonville and Benoni

Narcotics Seized in Germiston 2The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) apprehended five suspects allegedly found with different kinds of narcotics on 7 October.

According to EMPD Acting Chief Superintendent Kobeli Mokheseng, a 37-year-old man was nabbed at the corner of Milne and President streets in Germiston. In his possession was a plastic bag with liquid G, one glass tube containing a crystal substance, a black pipe with traces of drugs valued at R1 500.

In Wattville, Actonville and Benoni the DEU handcuffed and escorted four suspects age 22, 39, 42 and 44 after uncovering  249 quarter, half and full mandrax tablets, 11 knotted plastic bags of rock and 90 knotted plastic bags of nyaope valued at R18 950 ,with R2 941 in cash.

                                                                                                                                             

The five face charges of possession and possible dealing in illicit substances and are expected to appear in court soon.
