Planned Water Supply Interruption Due to Rand Water Maintenance

The City of Ekurhuleni wishes to inform customers that Rand Water has scheduled the necessary and urgent replacement of a portion of its G18 pipeline for Saturday, 21 November 2020. It will necessitate that the G18 pipeline is drained at 12:00 on 21 November 2020 to allow the technicians to commence with the work.

The G18 will return to full operation during the morning of Tuesday, 24 November 2020. There is a high possibility that the areas and businesses listed below will be affected, and water interruptions may occur due to the duration of the shutdown and the envisaged fluctuations of the water levels in the respective reservoirs:

  • Hariotdale Business and Residential
  • Jupiter Industries
  • Primrose and Primrose Extension
  • Dawnview
  • Sunnyrock
  • Symhurst
  • Solheim
