In a partnership with Tshimong all Ekurhuleni-based public schools are invited to enter the Ekurhuleni Debating Challenge.
It's aim? To develop the public speaking and critical thinking skills of learners in grades 8 – 12.

How does it work?
There are two categories - juniors (grades 8 – 9) and seniors (grades 10 – 12). Debates will take place every weekend in September - juniors on Saturdays and seniors on Sundays – with the finals on 27 October, in honour of OR Tambo.
Where? Debates take place at host schools in Ekurhuleni.
Prizes? Yes, these include R5 000 cash prize for the winning junior school and R10 000 for the senior school.
