PUBLIC ASKED TO COMMENT ON NEW DRAFT WATER SERVICES BYLAW

The City’s Draft Water Services By-law that combines the content from two previously approved by-laws is now open for comment.

The 2002 Water Supply and Wastewater by-laws were used as the basis of the 2022 Draft Water Services By-law. Before the bylaw is approved to come into effect, a public participation process is followed where the municipality consults with stakeholders, especially interested or affected individuals, organisations and government entities.

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

While the draft bylaw can be viewed at any of the City’s customer care centres, it is also available on the website – www.ekurhuleni.gov.za.

There are a number of public meetings where the draft bylaw will be presented.
