CALL FOR PROPOSALS FOR GRANTS-IN-AID SUPPORT FOR THE PERIOD

CITY OF EKURHULENI METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY

CALL FOR PROPOSALS FOR GRANTS-IN-AID SUPPORT FOR THE PERIOD

JULY 2017 TO JUNE 2018

 

Interested deserving institutions/organisations within the boundaries City of Ekurhuleni focusing on the Council’s broad strategic vision and priorities, are hereby invited to apply for Grants-in-Aid to assist their community involvement/projects during the period of July 2017 to June 2018.

 

City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality reviewed its Grants-in-Aid Policy to embark on a new approach that is aligned to the Ekurhuleni Community Empowerment Programme, which encompasses the following:

 

§  Maximizing local content & participation particularly by the previously disadvantaged.

§  Creation of sustainable jobs.

§  Skills development, and

§  Promotion of industrialisation.

 

Proposalsfor financial support are hereby requested to be submitted under the following High Level Priority Areas:

 

1.   Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture and Social Cohesion  

2.   Local Economic Development and Sustainable Job Creation, and

3.   Social Development.

 

Formal application forms are available at all Customer Care Centres and The Grant-in-Aid Support office at Head Office in Germiston or by contacting any of the following Officials:

Closing datefor submitting Proposals is the 15th August 2017.  Proposals must be submitted to Customer Care Centres and the Grants-in-Aid Support Office, Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality, Head Office Building, Corner Cross & Roses Streets, Germiston.

 

 No late submissions will be considered. Proposals will be adjudicated and the approved Grants-in-Aid will be awarded as from November 2017.

 

The municipality reserves the right not to fund an organisation or body two years in succession or in any future years.

 

Unsuccessful applicants will be notified in writing by the relevant Department, accordingly, within 3 months after the adjudication and approval process has been finalised.
