Notice 11-2020 Call for Nominations for persons to be appointes as members of CoE Appeal Authority
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR PERSONS TO BE APPOINTED AS MEMBERS OF THE CITY OF EKURHULENI MUNICIPAL APPEAL AUTHORITY
CLOSING DATE: 23 December 2020
In terms of the Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act, No 16 of 2013, the City of Ekurhuleni hereby invites nominations for members of the public to be appointed as members of Municipal Appeal Authority. Members will serve in this office for a term of five (5) years calculated from the date of appointment by Municipality. Fields/Areas of interest: Town planning, Land use Survey, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, Hydrology and Legal. Nominees must be persons with leadership qualities and must have knowledge and experience of spatial planning, land use management and land development or the law related thereto, as required in section 51(6) of the Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act, No 16 of 2013.
Each nomination must be in writing and must contain the following information
- The name and address of the nominator, who must be a natural person and a person may nominate himself or herself
- The name, address and identity number of the nominee
- Motivation by the nominator for the appointment of the nominee to the Ekurhuleni Municipal Appeal Authority not exceeding one A4 page
- Certified copies of qualifications and registration certificates indicating registration with the relevant professional body or voluntary association.
Failure to comply with the above requirements may result in the disqualification of the nomination. Nominees are urged to apply by a format as provided for in the Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Regulations: Land Use Management and General Matters.
Nominations must be mailed to Dr I Mashazi, City Manager, City of Ekurhuleni, 2nd Floor, Head Office Building, corner Cross and Rose Streets, Private Bag X1069, Germiston, 1400 with a copy of CV and certified qualifications. No applications/nominations by email or by facsimile will be considered and correspondence will be limited to successful nominees.
