Waste collectors handle many bins on a daily basis. The gloves they wear are for personal protection. Should one bin be contaminated, other bins handled thereafter may be contaminated.
Please take precautionary measures when handling your bin, such as washing of hands, wearing gloves, and disinfecting the bins.
