The City Is Committed In Supporting The SMME

Through the City’s Enterprise Development Programme it promotes and supports programmes in various categories and sectors of SMMEs. These programmes include:

Mentorship

The mentorship programme involves bringing in experts in the field to share information and assist in guiding in areas such as furniture manufacturing, protective clothing, automotive services, contractor development, general coaching and business plan development.

Incubation

Since 2016 over 200 businesses participated in an incubation programme that saw 105 participants graduate in contractor development, furniture manufacturing, protective clothing, business plan development and general coaching mentorship.

Tender Advice Centre

Concentration here is on training suppliers who failed to meet the technical specification on tender documents and includes those enterprises that are competitive on pricing and costing.
