City’s Newly Launched Food Bank to Help Distressed Residents

The City of Ekurhuleni has established a central food bank to respond to the plight of the distressed residents affected by COVID -19.

The City therefore calls on distressed residents in need of food to contact the City’s food banks’s dedicated call centre on 011 999 5102. The Central Food Bank has been established as a distribution point where emergency relief donations in theCity will be received and then distributed in response to the socio-economic situation residents find themselves in due to the Covid-19.

The City wishes to thank all donors who have made the food bank possible in a joint effort to ensure food security for the poor.
