
EKURHULENI, AND RETAIL AND PROPERTY COMPANY – AJP GROUP, DONATE TO THE NEEDY
Bula Mahlo Children Welfare at Difateng and Bana Ba Noko at Olifantsfontein in Thembisa were among the beneficiaries of the partnership between the City of Ekurhuleni, and retail and property development company, AJP Group, on Tuesday, 13 February 2024.
The City of Ekurhuleni and AJP Group run Action Against Poverty programme to support needy communities. The two institutions handed over donations of R10 500.00 to Bula Mahlo and Bana Ba Noko on 13 February 2024.
Bana Ba Noko is Early Childhood Development for children from needy families, mainly from Tswelopele in Thembisa, whilst Bula Mahlo is an orphanage housing about 30 residents with the youngest being eight months old.
MMC for Corporate and Shared Services in the city Ald. Nkosindiphile Xhakaza commended the management of Bula Mahlo and Bana Ba Noko for their sterling leadership and support they provide to the benefiting communities.
“The services you are providing are much needed in our communities, and as a government, we will support you,” he said.
The founder of Bula Mahlo Children Welfare Centre Regina Sekgobela appreciated the support from the city and AJP Group, and said the donation will go a long way in acquiring educational and other material for the children.
