Ekurhuleni to Officially Hand Over Farms to Winning Bidders

The City of Ekurhuleni will be hosting a handover and signing ceremony of its Rapid Land Release Programme to winning bidders. As at February 2021, the City of Ekurhuleni has successfully finalized the award to 11 winning bids.

The City’s adoption of a Rapid Land Release Programme seeks to avail agricultural township business sites and industrial commercial sites to private operators in order to generate efficiency-gains and enhance revenues.

Through this programme, altogether, fifty-six (56) municipal farms will be released on leasehold to suitably qualified entities.
