Masina Warns Against Infrastructure Vandalism
Executive Mayor Mzwandile Masina pleads with residents to refrain from vandalising the City’s infrastructure.
Masina was speaking during his visit to Thembisa where he was inspecting the status of key projects in the City. He was gutted to see streets lights, on Rev RTJ Namane Drive in Thembisa, lying on the ground.
“It is so disheartening that these lights that we put up not so long ago have been vandalised by some members of the community,” he said, calling on residents not to look away when they see people destroying infrastructure in their surroundings.
“We all have a responsibility to ensure that infrastructure in Ekurhuleni is well maintained for the benefit of our people,” he said.
Residents can report vandalism of infrastructure to the nearest police station or the City of Ekurhuleni’s Call Centre on 0860 543 000
