Register to Vote at IEC Offices at CCCs

The City all residents who are not registered but eligible to vote in the upcoming national elections to register at IEC offices in selected Ekurhuleni Customer Care Centres.

Though President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced the date of the election as 8 May, the date is yet to be gazetted and therefore registration is not yet closed.

Residents can call the Independent Electoral Commission on 0800 60 11 90 or SMS their ID number to 32810 (charged at R1) to get their registration status and current voting station, or visit the IEC website www.elections.org.za.

Those who registered previously in a different province will not able to vote in the provincial elections unless they register to vote in their new province.

You can register to vote at the IEC offices situated in the following municipal offices:

  • Kempton Park
  • Tembisa 1
  • Alberton
  • Springs
  • Brakpan
  • Benoni
  • Germiston

Those residents who have applied for, but yet to collect their IDs are urged to visit Home Affairs to do so – otherwise they will not be able to vote.
