No Job or Tender is For Sale in The City Of Ekurhuleni

Job seekers and entrepreneurs who wish to do business with the City are warned not to pay any person or employee money for jobs and tenders.

Beware of scammers selling non-existent municipal jobs, and tender documents, to unsuspecting job seekers and business persons. One such scam the City has been inundated with is in relation to providing waste bins. The City’s recruitment and procurement processes are steeped in transparency and ethical principles. Therefore, the City’s processes are open, predictable and afford each prospective bidder timely access to the same and accurate information.

In terms of recruitment, the City advertises vacancies, shortlists candidates, interviews and appoints. There are no short-cut processes that scammers usually promise. The recruitment process is done online, having moved from the manual format last year. All vacancies are advertised on the website (http://www.ekurhuleni.gov.za/vacancies) and must be applied for online.

When it comes to procurement – all requests for quotations and bids for tenders are advertised on the City’s website www.ekurhuleni.gov.za
