Scam Alert!

Residents are alerted to a scam doing the rounds about bogus job opportunities with the City.

The advert states that the municipality is looking for code10/14 drivers, general workers, cleaners and safety officers. It goes on to encourage job seekers to contact a Mr Mohlala on 0766837607 and not to apply online.

Please note that you can ONLY apply for a position with the City on Ekurhuleni online through the City’s website. The City will never ask that job hunters contact a specific person to apply and not apply online.

All vacancies for the City are advertised on the website and those in newspapers will include the City’s logo and is in a set format with contact details of the HR personnel dealing with the vacancy. The contact number will be a landline with a 999 prefix.
