Residents Invited To Have a Say on the Draft Budget of the City
The City of Ekurhuleni will hold its Integrated Development and Planning (IDP) and Budget consultative meetings with residents and other stakeholders from 14 – 21 April 2021.
The IDP is a process through which municipalities prepare a strategic development plan which extends over a five-year period. This then guides and informs all planning, budgeting, management and decision-making processes in the municipality.
Through this process members of the community have an opportunity to comment on the developmental programmes of the City.
Consultative meetings will be held in all 20 customer care areas and will be attended by Members of the Mayoral Committee as well as senior officials of the City.
The draft IDP and budget, including the draft tariff structure, can be viewed on the City’s website – www.ekurhuleni.gov.za. All comments and inputs must be emailed to budgettips@ekurhuleni.gov.za – closing date for comments is Thursday, 29 April 2021.

The public meetings are as follows and all COVID-19 regulations will be adhered to, including limited capacity in venues, wearing of masks and social distancing.
