CITY TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARINGS ON AUDITOR GENERAL’S REPORT
The City’s Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC) will soon hold public meetings to engage members of the public on the audit report released by the Auditor General of South Africa recently.
Paramount to the discussions will be the Auditor General’s findings on the city’s unauthorized, irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure (UIFW) for the 2022/23 financial year. The issues raised by the AG on the UIFW were referred to the Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC) to guide the Council on the way forward and report back to Council at the end of April 2024.
The public hearings are open to all interested members of society and will be held as follows:
