City eases driver’s licence renewals for pensioners

The City of Ekurhuleni has dedicated every Wednesday as a special day for pensioners to renew their driver’s licences without the need for an online booking.

Pensioners can visit any of the City’s Driver’s Licence Testing Centres (DLTCs) on this day to renew their licences with ease and convenience.

This initiative is aimed at addressing the challenges that elderly residents often face when navigating the online booking system and digital platforms.

“By setting aside a specific day exclusively for pensioners, the City is making the renewal process simpler, more accessible, and inclusive,” said Head of Licensing in the City  Hamilton Ledwaba.

The City urges all eligible pensioners to take advantage of this service every Wednesday for faster and more efficient assistance at their nearest DLTC.
