Metropolitan Police Seize Bag of Dagga on the Road
Patrolling Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) officer discovered a plastic bag filled with dagga on Zestfontein Road in Petit on 18 April.
According to EMPD Media Liaison Officer Thabiso Makgato, members of the Equestrian Unit discovered a suspicious black plastic bag on the ground during their morning rounds in the area.
Makgato says officers stopped immediately for a closer look at the plastic and they discovered it contained 34 ziplock of dagga worth as estimated street value of R1 700.
No arrests were made, however, the unit vowed to continue monitoring and maintaining high visibility in the area considering the plastic was found near high school.
