OVER R70K OF ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES CONFISCATED, ONE ARRESTED

On Friday, 18 August 2023, at around 07h00, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Drug Enforcement Unit arrested a suspect in Germiston for possession and possible dealing in illegal substances valued at over R70 000.

This was after following up on information received and law enforcers hot-heeled it to President Street where a 45-year-old man was found in possession of nine medium Ziplock bags of crystal meth, one large plastic containing crystal meth and one of Cat, two scales, 150 smoking glass pipes and R960 in cash.

The offender was arrested and taken to Germiston police station and charged with possession and possible dealing in illegal substances.
