Pair Arrested for Possession of Narcotics

The EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit arrested a male and female suspect for possession of dagga, nyaope and rock in Katlehong on 14 September.

Aged 29 and 39, the couple were confronted and searched by the metro police at Mosiliki in Mosoeu Street where officers uncovered a plastic bag of dagga, 10 knotted plastic bags of nyaope and 10 pieces of rock valued at R1 500 and R1 000 in cash.

The two face charges of possession and dealing in illicit substance and were detained at Katlehong police station.
