R45k Worth of Narcotics Seized in Boksburg

Narcotics worth around R45 000 were found on a male suspect on 24 November, who was subsequently arrested by Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) Drug Enforcement Unit.

This was during a crime prevention and narcotics operation, when officers approached a suspicious looking male idling on 1st Street, Boksburg. Acting EMPD Spokesperson Kobeli Mokheseng says the anti-drugs team escorted the alleged drug peddler to Boksburg north police station who faces charges of possession and possible dealing in illicit substance. He will appear in court soon.
