SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF FIREARM PARTS

Patrolling #EMPD officers arrested a suspect found in possession of a firearm magazine in Thembisa on Saturday, 22 October 2022.

While on routine crime prevention, officers spotted a vehicle obstructing the road in Endulwini and saw one of the occupants passing a firearm to another. This led to one suspect being arrested in possession of a firearm magazine, while the other fled on foot with the firearm and the car keys.

The vehicle was impounded and the arrestee was charged with possession of an unlicensed part of a firearm.
