Two Arrested in Tsakane for Possession and Dealing in Narcotics
Members of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Drug Enforcement Unit apprehended two suspects found with narcotics while patrolling in Langaville Extension 8, Tsakane, on 8 July.
Acting on a tip off, the DEU members moved to the corner of Black Road, where a 38-year-old man was found with 102 small- and medium-size knotted plastic bags containing Nyaope valued at R3 060, and R571 in cash.
The suspect was arrested and taken to the Tsakane police station.
Meanwhile, still on Black Road, a suspicious looking 26-year-old man was searched by officers and they uncovered 66 knotted plastic bags containing Nyaope valued at R1 980, and cash amounting to R260 before he was escorted to Tsakane police station.
Both suspects are facing charges of possession and dealing in illicit substances.
