Two Males Sentenced To 15 Years In Prison For Copper Cable Theft

Two suspects spotted in New Modder Road in Benoni digging for copper cables where arrested by  EMPD, along with the equipment they were using, in September 2020.

On 21 April 2021, the Benoni magistrate’s court found Mthokozisi Dlamini and Sibusiso Mandleni guilty of tampering, damage and destruction of the electricity infrastructure and handed down a 15-year jail sentence to each of them.
