That is why it is important to conduct the survey to ascertain if we are still on track in providing services to all residents of the city.

The waste service point audit will help put our house in order. From the findings of the survey we will be able to allocate proper resources to depots. We will be able to eliminate service delivery disruptions, and determines the exact number of customers who receive waste management services and we will also be able categorize customer according the type of service they require and receive.”

The fieldworkers carrying out the survey are identifiable as follows: They carry name tags with their pictures and identity numbers; Their identity cards have contact details of their supervisor from the city’s department of waste management services and the surveyors use electronic gadgets such tablets and maps.

In addition, residents and business owners need to note that no money is needed from the customers to conduct the audit at a visited property.
