CITY TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARINGS ON AUDITOR GENERAL’S REPORT
The City will be taking the public into confidence about the Auditor General of South Africa’s 2023/24 financial year report findings on unauthorized, irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure (UIFW). This will be done in a form public hearings.
The issues raised by the AG’s report on UIFW were referred to the city’s Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC) to guide the council on it and report back on the matter at the end of March 2025.
The public hearing meetings are being convened by MPAC before compiling a report to Council. They are open to all interested members of the community. They will be held as follows:
