CALLS FOR COMMENTS ON CHILD CARE CENTRE POLICY

The City of Ekurhuleni is urging its stakeholders to make comments on the drafting of the City’s Child Care Centre Policy 2024 between 6 May – 6 June 2024.

This policy aims to regulate and control the operations of the Child Care Centres in Ekurhuleni through the prescribed norms and standards, to ensure compliance with safety and health requirements and improve the proper establishment of these centres. The policy will also look at ways to improve the application process.

An electronic copy of this draft policy can be obtained from www.ekurhuleni.gov.za or viewed at selected Customer Care Centres (CCC) during office hours at:

  • Alberton: 11th Floor, Alberton Civic Centre, Alwyn Taljaard Street, new Redruth, Alberton;

  • Springs: 4th Floor, F-Block, Springs Civic Centre, Cnr Plantation and Main Reef Roads, Springs.

Alternatively, the comments can be hand delivered to the municipal offices listed above, or City Planning Corporate Office at Markham Building, cnr Kempton Road and Margaret Street, Kempton Park.
