EKURHULENI TO MARK INTERNATIONAL NURSES DAY WITH PRAYER AND TRIBUTE TO NURSES

The City of Ekurhuleni will join the world tomorrow, 12 May, in celebrating International Nurses Day at the Alberton Council Chamber under the theme: Our Nurses Our Future.

Healthcare workers will converge to celebrate the nursing profession and have a prayer session to pay tribute to the nurses who succumbed to the Covid-19 pandemic while serving the residents of the city.

International Nurses Day is celebrated worldwide on the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale who is the founder of modern nursing. The day is celebrated worldwide to highlight nurses’ life-saving contributions to society, raise awareness of global health challenges and improve health for all.
