Health Promoters Reach Out to Assist the Elderly

Health practitioners from the City have integrated their healthcare services with assisting the elderly, who are 60 years old and older, to register on the Electronic Vaccination Data System (EVDS).

 “It really brings me joy knowing that I belong to a City that really cares for its senior citizens. Not only has the team checked my vitals to ensure that I am healthy, but they have also registered me for the COVID vaccine,” said Mkhulu Ndlovu.

Ndlovu is amongst the many residents assisted by the Ward Based War Room team who visit various hotspot areas in Ekurhuleni to provide public health education and awareness.

The City of Ekurhuleni echoes the sentiments shared by national government to assist the elderly register for the COVID-19 inoculation.
