Professional Nurses Embrace in Orientation at Vaccine Site
Nurses from the City of Ekurhuleni are highly involved in administering the COVID 19 inoculations at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital.
This forms part of their orientation ahead of the vaccine rollout in the City which is expected in the not so distant future.
“I am pleased to see our health nurses being part of the team administering the COVID inoculation at one of the vaccination sites in the province.
This indeed gives us as the City confidence that our residents will be in good hands once we start rolling out the vaccine to members of the community,” said the MMC for Health and Social Services Cllr Nomadlozi Nkosi.
She said on average, the city sends about ten health care workers on site weekly to administer the inoculation. The experience and knowledge gained at the sites is then shared with other health care workers to aid in a smooth rollout in Ekurhuleni.
