Protective Gear Donated to EMPD

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department received a shot in the arm when protective gear in the form of surgical masks was donated.

Chief of Police Isaac Mapiyeye received the donation on behalf of the EMPD, thanking Blue Hawk Tactical for the gesture, saying the donation would go a long way in protecting EMPD officers in the line of duty.

“EMPD officers are always required to interact with members of the community, hence they need to wear masks at all times,” he said.

Blue Hawks Tactical Chief Executive Officer Theo Pouroullis said his company had a social responsibility to empower protectors of the community.

“We appreciate the good work that the EMPD is doing, and this gesture of masks is to encourage them to keep up the good work,” Pouroullis said.
