10 000 TITLE DEEDS GATHERING DUST AT CUSTOMER CARE CENTRES
Beneficiaries of government subsidised houses (RDPS) who have not collected their title deeds, are urged to do so at their nearest customer care centre (CCC).
Member of Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Human Settlements in the City Cllr Mabekenyane Thamahane urged the younger generation to assist their elderly relatives and residents in ensuring that they collect their title deeds.
“Over 10 000 unclaimed title deeds continue to gather dust in our offices. Most of these belong to people who acquired RDP houses from as far back as 1994, and beyond. We urge senior citizens, especially in Thembisa where there is high number of uncollected title deeds,” pleaded the MMC.
For enquiries on RDP title deeds, residents can visit their nearest CCC, with their identity documents.
