COLLECT YOUR TITLE DEED FROM HOUSING LIAISON OFFICERS AT YOUR NEAREST CUSTOMER CARE CENTRE
The City of Ekurhuleni calls on the beneficiaries of the Reconstruction and Development Programme (RDP) houses to collect their title deeds at their nearest customer care centres (CCC).
Every one of the CCCs has a housing liaison officer (HLO) who will be able to check the details of the applicant and upon verifying the information, handover the title deeds.
The city has over 22 300 unclaimed title deeds piling up at customer care centres. This is in the main caused by challenges in locating the rightful beneficiaries due to unresolved deceased estates, untraceable beneficiaries, informal sales and/or illegal sale of RDP houses, and discrepancies between current occupants and the actual owners.
For further information regarding the title deed programme, beneficiaries can contact the following officials:
- Eastern Region: Adelaide Sefako– 011 999 7042;
- Southern Region: Anelisa Magini – 011 999 5611; and
- Northern Region: Rhulani Katane – 011 999 4820.
The city appeals to members of the public to claim their documents in order to guarantee their security of tenure status. When collecting your title deed, kindly bring your green bar-coded ID or identity card.
