Collect Your Title Deed

City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) urges all beneficiaries to collect their unclaimed title deeds at their nearby Customer Care Centres (CCCs).  

Over 14 000 unclaimed title deeds are waiting to be collected at customer care centres across the City. 

Member of the Mayoral Committee for Human Settlements, Cllr Lesiba Mpya indicated challenges with locating the rightful beneficiaries largely due to unresolved deceased estates, untraceable beneficiaries, informal sales/illegal sale of RDP and discrepancy between current occupants and owners. 

“We call out on all residents around the City to come forward and collect their title deeds to guarantee security of tenure. We are making this public plea to everyone who is waiting for their tittle deeds so that we can fulfill the commitment that we made in 2016 to give residents security of ownership,” said Cllr Lesiba Mpya 

The City of Ekurhuleni has launched a Title Deeds Friday programme to distribute title deeds to ensure security of tenure to beneficiaries. To date the City has managed to distribute close to 4 000 title deeds to the rightful beneficiaries.  

Those who are yet to get their title deeds are urged to constantly enquire at their nearest Ekurhuleni Customer Care Centre (CCC) and must have their green bar-coded ID or ID card at hand when visiting the CCCs.  

These centres are open weekdays from 08h00 to 16h00. Areas per region:
