FINANCE OPEN DAY IN KATLEHONG WELL ATTENDED

Registration of applications for elders onto the indigent list dominated the Finance Open Day sessions hosted by the City at the Katlehong 1 Customer Care Centre (CCC) on 17 and 18 March.

Themba Thebe, the Katlehong 1 CCC Manager, encouraged residents to visit any of the indigent offices at CCCs in the City and fill in the application form for the indigent programme.

“I’m pleased with the turn out of community members, especially the elderly who came in numbers to enquire about being registered on the indigent programme, and we commend them for taking that initiative,” said Thebe.

He said for residents to be registered, the applicant’s household combined gross income of all occupants must not exceed R3 500, be a South African citizen and over 18 years of age.
